AUTHENTIC INDUSTRY TRAININGCivil Train offers its clients authentic industry training and believes in training by the industry, for the industry. It collaborates with CCF QLD members, as well as industry bodies to develop and implement industry training that is both relevant and cost effective.
ON OR OFF SITE TRAINING ACROSS QUEENSLANDCivil Train has offices located in southern and northern Queensland and can deliver training to the civil construction industry across the state. It has the ability to deliver training both on and off site and provides its clients with access to the Queensland Civil Industry Training Centre (Q-CITC) as well as a Mobile Training Unit (MTU).
FUNDINGThere is a variety of funding options and incentives available for businesses to train and up-skill their staff. Where Commonwealth and State Government or other funding is available, Civil Train will work with its clients to determine which funding best meets their needs. This approach will often result in significant savings for all or part of the costs incurred.
NATIONAL RESOURCESCivil Train is committed to delivering quality industry training. To that end, nationally the CCF has made a substantial investment in the development of national resources to ensure Civil Train clients have the most up-to-date training resources available. In addition, continual revision of our training programs ensures that industry needs are represented.

The Palaszczuk Government will invest a record $810.7 million in skills and training, an increase of $56.1 million from last year, as set out in the 2016–17 Annual VET Investment Plan.
Minister for Training and Skills Yvette D’Ath released the latest VET Investment Plan, outlining the Government’s funding priorities for skills and training for the financial year.
“We are committed to giving Queenslanders across the state access to the best possible training opportunities, to ensure they have the skills to gain employment,” Mrs D’Ath said.
Under the new Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) Standards, trainers and assessors are required to keep up-to-date with industry practices. Our trainers and assessors are continually keeping abreast of current trends, industry practice changes, new equipment and new construction materials to name a few.
INTRODUCING A NEW TRAINING PACKAGE
Civil Train will be offering the Certificate III in Civil Construction – Road Marking from 1 July 2016.This qualification will suit workers who wish to develop skills as Road Markers. They will be introduced to a range of road markings, signs and lines using specialised road marking plant and equipment.
We would like to remind you that we deliver non-accredited courses in Quick Cut Saw and Chainsaw. We have been very busy with these courses in the past few weeks so we would just like to highlight that we can deliver these courses at our centre at Eight Mile Plains, or at your site.
Civil Train are now offering a new skill set called RIISS00044 Work Zone Traffic Control – Traffic Controller Skill Set.

Civil Train QLD is adding UETTDRRF06B – Perform rescue from a live LV panel, to their scope. This course is specifically for electrical industry workers, who need to undertake this course annually. This unit will be offered as part of a combined course with HLTAID001 – Provide CPR, which is a prerequisite for this unit of competency. The competency covers the performance of rescue procedures from live Low Voltage (LV) apparatus, not including overhead lines and underground cables in the work place.
